I've got a 9600gt currently and a 24" (1920x1200) display. It works fine, but I do have a q6600, 4gb ram, etc... Just to be honest I'd either pick up something really cheap for now or wait and upgrade the entire system at once.

One quick thing to mention is I haven't seen an hdtv with a 1:1 pixel ratio option, but I could be wrong.

I've got a 9600gt and a dell 2408wfp so the 1:1 pixel ratio option should be in the options for the display; the display options on the actual display itself. Not all displays have this so keep that in mind.

One quick note I'm sure there is a delay, but all you need to worry about is, is it fast enough for a human to notice or only a robot.
