I just went into the hidden menu on my A04 and it says 486 hours. That's got to count when the display is sleeping, right? No way I've used it that much since I got it - I don't work at home or anything.
Anyone know anything about Sun's 24" monitor? http://www.sun.com/desktop/index.jsp?tab=2
They want $1600 for it but I've got a line on a used one, and they talk up the "HDTV" functionality. Anyone know anything about it?
If someone could test it with a test signal to see if it's been manipulated then that would be cool. I'm just a bit skeptical when someone says "1:1 isn't 1:1, but aspect is.." That is unless Costco starts selling this monitor so I can get it there too. :D
Maybe I'll wait until they fix it, then. I can afford to wait quite a while for them to make 1:1 work properly. If you have to use "aspect" then it's stretching probably...
Oh man....I wish you hadn't pointed me at buy.com...I thought it was like a $900 monitor....well, I'm going to have to think about it. Thanks to Costco I have plenty of time to consider what to do. :)
In the review it said that 1:1 left stuff on the sides....but shouldn't it do that? 1080p is...
Isn't there a way to somehow limit the framerate to the same as the refresh rate? I would think that if the frame rate exceeds the refresh rate you'll see problems no matter what.
I don't know what the contrast is with the 3007 HC compared to the regular 3007 but the 3007 HC does do 92% of the NTSC gamut as opposed to 70-ish of the regular version. So more accurate colors is the point.
