My local MC has a GPU "sale" for the 4th. The base model PNY 5090 is $300 off at $2499. They sold one card yesterday. The PNY 5090 ARGB Epic-X OC version is on sale for $100 more at $2599. Not a single one sold yesterday. The next least expensive 5090 in stock, and there's a ton of 5090's in...
Someone modded the Daggerfall game with the Unity engine, and then someone took that and created a VR mod for it. It's awesome how involved the VR community is porting over older games.

Good! I really don't want the FE and the higher-priced AIB's were making me not want a 5090. But, if I can get one for $1999 and get two years out of it that might change things.
I really hope there are a few 5080's and 5090's at FE prices, like there were for the 4000 series, and that these prices are not correct. I had no trouble getting a non-OC ASUS TUF 4090 for $1599 from my local Micro Center. I see no value in spending hundreds of dollars extra for a video card...
Now that we have "benchmarks" for the 5000 series, is anyone still buying used 4090s? There are multiple 4090's near me for $1200-$1400. Even the cheapest 5080 with tax will be around $1100, if you can find one. The 4090 should still have ~15% performance uplift over a 5080, as well as 8GB more...
Aging 3080 10GB needs replaced. Play everything in 4k and lots of VR, so the 16GB of VRAM of a 4080/5080 could be a bottleneck. I'm seeing lots of 4090's within an hour of me selling for $1300-$1400. From what I've read, 5090 stock is going to be very limited. With tax, a base model $1999 will...
There's a huge thread over at Slickdeals about this router with lots of good information:

I absolutely love the Serious Sam trilogy in VR, and the standing shooter is good, too. The four pack is on sale right now on Steam for $8.36, which is an insane value:

Purchased a Quest 3 on launch day. This is my fifth headset. Primarily PCVR, but I do a lot of standalone for convenience. I was kind of let down that almost none of the standalone Quest 2 titles I have were updated for the Quest 3's much faster GPU and better resolution. Sure, the lenses make...
I would love to see a VR performance review with the 4000 series vs the 7000 series with the latest drivers. XTX's are getting close to half the price of the 4090, and if the VR performance is now only 10-15% slower and the games more stable, then it would be hard to justify all that extra money...
It depends on your resolution and target framerate. I game at 4k60 on my TV, and also VR 90hz with my Reverb G2. I went with a 12700K a few months ago (cheap at Micro Center) and it doesn't even break a sweat in my situation with my 4090. What's your resolution and refresh rate?
Anyone want to try that promo code again from Best Buy? The 4090 I want is finally in stock there but I'm not going to pull the trigger unless I can get the 10% off, and if it's not working I'm not going to apply for the credit card.
I changed the JAN24EMOB1 to FEB24EMOB1 and it seems to be a...
