Looked at these side by side at microcenter. I actually preferred the looks of the P2414H but aesthetics are very personal. Coating looked exactly the same to me. The Ultrasharp comes factory calibrated, that, the inputs, and bezel would be the biggest difference.
Majority of TV's have a variation of VA panels in them. Some exclusions are usually LG's which tend to have IPS panels. It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and even set to set. Some may have VA some may have IPS. It's honestly a pain in the ass when searching for a TV to buy.
Well the monitor finally arrived (1 day late newegg....) anyway it.... is... PHENOMENAL. From the second I turned it on I knew I had made the right choice. First impressions are that it at least matches my old dell in motion performance, while the AG coating is loads better.

Not crazy just not fond of the resolution.
A) I'm not into keeping up with the Jones' anymore and the hardware requirement of maintaining that res is out of my league
B) I have terrible vision and windows doesnt handle high dpi displays all that well. 1080p/1200p are much easier on my eyes.
