The FW900 was an awesome piece of hardware, but I still cannot believe this thread is still going!
Pretty crazy to see it still live after all this time. We need a matching IBM Model M thread ;)
I never had one in the past, but when I got my iPhone 6 Plus I bought one of the cheap OtterBox covers for the back and the sides. For the screen I just use one of the film covers that I had used on my previous phones.
I wasn't sure about it at first, but I think I am coming around to the...
This isn't a bad idea. Several years ago I picked up a G4 Power Mac dual 1GHz processor from my university for very little. Even then it could not run the latest version of OS X, but it was more than sufficient for learning and quite quick for its age.
I didn't pay much then, so I assume you...
I am not much of a MOBA fan (and I don't know that this is entirely a typical MOBA), but I had a pretty good time with I have played of this. I will be keeping my eye on HotS.
Sadly I missed yet another beta invite for this due to a busy schedule. I am really hoping to get to try it.
Part of me hates it because I loved Skyrim so much and would love to see a proper followup, but I am still curious.
I have been extremely happy with my Macbook Pro direct from Apple, using it since 2007. I really wish some other manufacturers would catch up in the trackpad department.
^ This. A receiver may not be budget at the outset, but it can last you for MANY rigs. And you never have to worry about it issues with drivers etc. I think mine is about 11 years old now and it has given me great sound over the years. Hardly the obvious choice (may not interest you), but it...
Personally I have only ever owned one dual CPU rig. That was a dual 1 GHz Powermac that I got just for the giggles of owning a dual CPU box when my university was updating its CGT labs and selling the old boxes for almost nothing. If they had not had such a firesale I probably would never have...
I know a lot of what they added in 8 I could care less about (hence my never getting it), but I doubt it is that bad. I imagine a lot of 8 is just like Vista, people just repeating things they heard that often have no basis in fact.
That said, metro or whatever is still an awful idea IMO.
Has anyone used the Twitch.tv app on a Ouya? If it runs well and is decent I would pretty much be sold. I know Twitch made the iOS app useless so I would want to see some user reviews of the Android version.
Portables may not be for you, but saying you can only play platformer games on them is absurd. You can have all different types of games from turn based strategy to sport. FPS is not the only genre.
As for the SHIELD, I just don't see it. I know the hardware isn't super cheap for them, but...

English is full of French loan words and phrases and seems to be doing just fine. I am sure French can handle some English words. Silly idea.
