Opinions on using what I have as best I can.

Thanks, as i said, I bought the 240 for that purpose so it will be doing the output duties in the HTPC.

Opinions on using what I have as best I can.

thanks for the reply, yes I planned on the 240 so the cpu would not be critical. Even the 805 with the Radeon can play 1080p downloaded files to my Acer screen so the 240 should work even better i hope?

Opinions on using what I have as best I can.

Hi All, I have gathered a collection of older parts, and would like opinions on what to keep/sell/etc and what combination I should use. I do zero gaming, and want to end up with 2 machines. One as my general use desktop and one to act as an HTPC. My current desktop is old, an Asus...

Wire mounts and zip tie mounts

Go to Home Depot and create one. under the desk no one would see it- angle brackets and some 4" PVC cut in half, then notch 'fingers' in it. As for the power strip, attach angle brackets so the strip hangs across 2 or 3 of them, secure with zip ties? just a thought.

Speaker setup in odd room configuration... PLEASE HELP!

They would not be 'rear' in the strictest sense, but how about one mounted high above the sub, and one on top of the bookcase? if the one above the sub is close to the ceiling it will minimize being too 'hot' for someone on that end of the couch. Or, you could have the left [or both] angled...

Towers w/ built in sub or seperates?

Separates, as everyone has stated. Many people own [and swear by] 'box' or cylinder subs, usually sealed for musical accuracy and/or vented for thumpy punch in HT applications. Personally I would at least study up a little on infinite baffle designs too. I believe they are a very viable...

your domain is step 1, next is a hosting account. I use Hostgator myself. Wordpress is great-widely used and extensively supported with themes and add-ins available. WAMP is a local interpreter for PHP, etc so your code can be tested without ftp-ing to your host server to check function...
