Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My motherboard has 8 SATA II/III ports to plug in the remaining 4 HDD's. I have a reverse-breakout cable (SFF-8087-to-4x SATA) plugged into the last SAS backplane.
I think I'm sold on the M1015, flashed to an IT firmware. Now I just need to figure out if the expander is really better than a...
I was planning to buy two cards ... or would an expander be a better choice?
Would it be more stable? I'm willing to pay a bit more for a rock-solid solution.
On the other hand, I've heard that sometimes controller cards get wonky when there's more than one in the system?
EDIT: Removed...
Thanks for the reply, misterpat.
I've been considering the IBM M1015, as well. It seems like a great card, solid, reliable and very customizable. But, I've read rumors that LSI chips -- like LSI's SAS2008, which the M1015 employs -- can be incompatible with some Gigabyte motherboards. Worth...
Hello, [H]ard|Forum ... drifter from the FlexRAID message board here. That place tends to be quite quiet most of the time, except when developer Brahim's around. Hope you guys don't mind if I cross-post this here.
Anyway, it looks like I'll need to replace the controller cards in my media...
Have you had any problems with ghosting in games? It's got a 6ms GTG rate, but I've noticed some slight trailing occasionally.
I can gladly confirm that there's very little or no input lag on mine, as well.
Thanks for the reply.
Well, the 9700 Pro only has DVI-I and VGA ... would it be worth switching it to analog? Also have a PS2 that could be connected via component. Unfortunately, I have no other PC to try.
The problem is so random and infrequent at this point that it could take days to...
I'm sorry to have to report this, but apparently BenQ has NOT corrected the black-screen bug which reportedly plagued earlier firmwares on this LCD.
Posts made in this thread suggested that the "re-release" of the FP241VW were shipping with new firmware which eliminated the problem. However...
Something strange happening here ... I just tried to go through these steps to see my panel info, but if I turn the monitor off and then back on again, it doesn't see a signal. All I get is the "No Signal Detected" box. I cycled through the inputs, but no good. I'm forced to restart in order...
I finally got mine today!
BenQ shipped FedEx Ground, but they always attempt delivery when I'm not home, so I opted to pick up the package at the local distribution center to avoid having it left outside of my apartment door. I knew ahead of time that the carton clearly shows what's hiding...
Hello, all ... first time poster here. I'd like to start by thanking everyone on HardForums, as I've been lurking the Displays section for a couple of months now trying to educate myself on what's available, and have found a great deal of quality info from a lot of very knowledgable posters...
