    24" Widescreen CRT (FW900) From Ebay arrived,Comments.

That's either a faulty capacitor or a dying flyback (most likely the former), I would do a full recap, starting with the PSU board.

    LG 48CX

Check the event viewer to see if the nvidia display driver stopped responding, if so, updating your bios and setting the gpu mode to performance in the nvidia panel may fix it (it fixed the issue here). If that's not the issue look at the tv's hdmi diagnostic menu, if too many errors show up...

That's fixed, the new EDID is based directly from my own CX EDID export, the only change is to increase the FRR (lane) speed from 10Gbps to 12Gbps (to get a full 48Gbps sync) everything else is untouched. G-SYNC/VRR works fine.

You can now enjoy full unrestricted 48gbps (4*12gbps lanes) hdmi 2.1 on the LG CX :) Just apply this EDID profile with CRU. (doesn't work on consoles, obviously) https://mega.nz/file/J0NARBRb#JxMNP0S6OqR_OtyTMGYmvi2Mr12m3mOR6fgrH3jtpTo

Yes, this can be fixed, I would get it myself but I am in the EU and shipping this from the US would cost way too much. This is a "landing" issue (the magnets stuck on the tube to mitigate deflection, probably moved, you'd need to reset them in place)

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

My bad, I was still thinking of the JS9000, not the JS9500.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Every single reviews out there claim it's Edge lit; along with videos to prove it, I tend to believe multiple reviews. Example: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/js9000 "The edge-lit local dimming's zones are big, because the LEDs are located on the left and right sides of the TV."...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I don't have that issue on my UE55JU7500 About the JS9000 it's a very good choice as it has a 10-bit panel, while the JU7500 (and lower ends) only get a 8-bit panel, therefore those can't do HDR I still chose the JU7500 as the panel is direct lit (the JS9000 is edge lit), and because of the...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I would like to add that people that want to go back to an earlier firmware for any reason whatsoever (reducing input lag? rooting when/if it becomes available?) can do so, there are leaked firmwares for the Samsung J series TV that downgrades those to version 0000, which then lets you "update"...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

The 4th option is top/bottom on my display. I always thought edid hacks for 3d vision only worked on passive sets. EDIT: There is no such thing as a horizontal or vertical line mode on the J series display (I just checked) I also checked the H series display user manual, and indeed this mode...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

This display uses a 120hz panel; while you can't use 120hz inputs, when a 3D signal is detected the panel does send 120 frames per seconds (60 per eye), this happens whenever the display detects an input using Frame Packing or Frame Sequencing (limited to 720p@60fps and 1080p@30fps as per the...
