Processor >hotness> Copper shim/plates >hotness> [Cooling solution]
shims are normally used to soak the heat from the processor and transfer it the peltiers. Too much CPU heat and not enough cooling on the cooler side can cause heat to cycle back to the CPU and cook it.
Sadly, most are designed for the std. desktop chips w/ heatspreaders, mobiles are nekkid.
Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 = no contact w/ core. I have no idea where to find a shim or equivalent to resolve this, carving up the cooler support is looking better to resolve this issue.
