    In that case I don't get it. If the DDL isn't re-encoding the music up to 5.1 then what is it doing? Isn't that the point with DDL? I thought it was supposed to convert any audio source to 5.1. Oh, and where do you activate CMSS 3D?

    Only optical? Not coax aswell? Optical out? I only have "Speakers" and "Digital Out". What if I wanna encode a non 5.1 movie with DDL? Disabling DDL kind of spoils the whole thing. EDIT: Now that I've changed the setting to "Speakers" I only get music playing through the 2 front speakers...

    have you tried turning off all processes in the background? some of them can be quite demanding. you are running on a radeon 9800 128 mb right?
