the frequency also plays a large role for heat even when keeping volts at a given value.
When I lower my input voltage (around 1.85V by default on the asus RVE) it does help keep temps lower.
I certainly hope this can be release via bios but it seems only supermicro has the secret sauce already.

So I can simply run the printer cable usb from my pc to modi?
I imagine I need drivers for it and then it's good to go.

I also went ahead and ordered the optical cable and 3.5mm rca to spdif so I can compare all 3.

So it seems my two choices are:
1) get a 3.5mm to spdif cable on the modi such as this one:
