Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
how many fps do you guys get in BF3 MP using single 7970 at 2560x1440 Ultra 4xMSAA? cause I'm thinking to upgrade to a 27 S-IPS monitor from my Dell E228:D
1680x1050, DX11, all default clock with 9800gt as a Physx GPU
from this point, it's definitely worth upgrading from 5870CF to 7970, and in 1680x1050, I've already show the huge performance difference. Will tried the OC 1125/1575 later.
with some tests, Brutal fact is that the performance of 7970OC (1125/1575) is 5-10% better than the performance of 5870CF (default clock) in BattleField: Bad Company2 (the beginning realtime animation 1920x1200 High Preset 8xAA 16xAF HBAO on, and almost the same as the performance of 5870CF...
Do you guys have the similar fps as my 7970?
it looks like 3GB memory just enough, I wonder if the 3GB memory is not enough for 2560x1600,or Eyefinity setting.
guru3d dare not compared 5870cf with 7970 in its 7970cf review bf3 section. and from Anandtech review, 5870cf should be faster than 7970 at 1680x1050, obviously the beginning of Thunder Run is not mem litmited, avg mem consumption is around 980MB-1GB...
after completely DEL my previous Battlefield 3 folder in My Document, now fps become back to normally near the 5870cf level, wait for further optimized Cat drv.
