    Analyzing my grip further, I think I'm kinda between a palm and claw grip, there is some space between my hand and the mouse, its just not as intense as in the demo photo of the claw grip.

    It appears to be drawing the air in from the back of the power supply (where the cord is). I will use the kleenex method suggested by JonGerow when I get home to verify.
