    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

I didn't search, if this has already been addressed, so sorry, if that is unnecessary. I tried how the cooler fits the ASUS ROG Strix X570-I gaming. Without the cooler for the SSD fits the pure heat sink. But there is very little room for the fan because the fan is mounted too far out of the...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I've just measured it. In my V1 the distance between board and top is 14mm. If you deduct 2 mm for the RISER cable, 12 mm remain for a fan, so the fan should fit exactly. Pity that it is no longer produced.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Fans on my MSI 1060 do not rotate in desktop mode, and case fans are probably not required to do so. While playing 7 days to die the fans just rotate very slowly, which is barely noticeable.

    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Matt Vanoli A duct is an interesting idea so I have just tested the Black Ridge in push configuration (quick and dirty by using tape). The temperatures were unchanged, but the fan was noticeably quieter. I will build a somewhat more professional looking duct when I have time and desire, perhaps...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

That's an interesting question, I just tested it. Since the 92mm Noctua is connected to the CPU fan port, I've covered it for the test, without a fan at this port, the computer does not start. Without the two case fans, the CPU temperature remains the same and the board temperature rises by 4...

    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

The fans are 100mm and 92mm, larger than ~ 105mm is not possible. They are mounted like that: https://hardforum.com/threads/dan-a4-sfx-the-smallest-gaming-case-in-the-world.1799326/page-374#post-1044161621 The board and the back of the graphics card has a permanent airflow with the fans sucking...

    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

I did a test after assembly, it seems to work quite well in my custom DAN A4. I had not previously tested, so I can't make a comparison. You find the result here: https://hardforum.com/threads/dan-a4-sfx-the-smallest-gaming-case-in-the-world.1799326/page-374#post-1044161945

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I use a 100 mm fan that fits under the board in my DAN A4 V1, it just need a small cut to the board mountingplate and fan mounting holes (fan = Scythe SY1012SL12L, production unfortunately expired). My 92mm slim fans do not fit, they are a bit too high.

It is, as I thought, the included clamp touches the RAM on my board. I replaced the clip with a thin wire, which fits well. The screws on the 120mm fan are just above the RAM, which makes solutions difficult due to the tightness.

I got mine today, it has no problems with heatpipes. The mounting for the 92 mm fan interfere with the installation of a 120 mm fan, I filed it down. The attachment clip is quite far off, I hope it is not a problem during installation. If so, I will replaced it with wire.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Thank you :). Unfortunately, I have not measured the temperatures before. I will do this mod with the other side part and the top part as well. Then I make a comparison of temperatures with and without covers. Thanks :)

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

My case gots very warm. With removed side part, it is much better now, noticeable by lower fan noise. For this reason, I wanted to improve the airflow and edited a side panel with my Dremel. This works very well. My plan was actually to fine-tune the mesh, but somehow I like it the way it is...
