Corsair Carbide Series AIR 540 Computer Case Review @ [H]

Really, really tempted by this case but have a couple of HAF932's for now and will probably wait to see if they do a revision or an upgraded version of the A540. Some design revisions that spring to mind:- The bottom panel - design it exactly the same as the front and top with a removable...

ASUS Official X79 Motherboards Support Thread

Tried again earlier and showing the full 32GB again, no issues otherwise. Perhaps it's just an issue initialising all 8 sticks sometimes on power up, perhaps a timing and/or voltage issue etc. that sometimes isn't quite enough, no idea really though. I can live without that 2GB occasionally...

ASUS Official X79 Motherboards Support Thread

Just to add to the thread. Have had a similar issue with memory 'vanishing' on my X79 pro board. Have 32GB of Corsair Vengeance fitted (8x4GB, on the list) Had 32GB show up a few times but then 'only' 30GB with B2 showing as abnormal in the BIOS. Returned the one set as I thought I had faulty...

18 new Ivy Bridge models for 2012

No, the 3930K in his sig means he'll still have two more cores than a regular IB and can drop in an 8/10 core monster IB later...

    ASUS P9X79 Deluxe Boot Issues

Would be absolutely rediculous to require 72A on a single rail, what's that, an 850W PSU or more? Think the interpretation of that note is incorrect.

    Asus P9X79 Pro or Deluxe

Well, going to answer my own post and go with the Pro. The extras on the Deluxe are not worth it to me.

    Using 16GB of memory effectively

Any free ramdisk software out there that'll set itself up and copy allocated files to it on boot?

    ASUS X79 Sabertooth vs. Pro

Wondering the same thing, also considering the deluxe. The Sabertooth sacrifices one pcie slt for a pci. No board power switches on the Sabertooth neither although it has all those temp sensors instead.

    Asus P9X79 Pro or Deluxe

Any reason to go with the deluxe over the pro? Not worried about the two extra USB3 ports nor the extra LAN, nor the onboard wi-fi. BT 3 over BT2... probably not. I assume the bt remote software is the same between the two anyway? The deluxe has the extra 8 phases on the cpu power stage...

    Intel liquid cooler

Anyone know of any reviews or tests comparing the Intel badged liquid cooler against a H80/H100 etc.? Are they even available generally? Anywhere in the UK?

    ASUS P9X79 Deluxe Boot Issues

Are you running any of the ai suite programs on boot which may be setting bios values resulting in a failed boot the next time...?

    ASUS P9X79 WS

Should work as noted. Should also be able to flash from within the bios. On a side note, what are your reasons for picking the WS board over the deluxe, pro or sabertooth? Undecided over which board to go for myself.

    Figuring out which x79 board...

...unless you want 6 cores, more cache, more memory and potential IB-E support.

    Intel Core i7-3960X - Sandy Bridge E Processor Review @ [H]

It is a re-badged Xeon with two cores disabled. QuickSync requires the on die gpu, this is a server/workstation part with no room nor need to add that requirement. What space there is on the die is taken by extra cores and cache. What false hope? Was all this fuss made when the 980 was...

    Intel Core i7-3960X - Sandy Bridge E Processor Review @ [H]

All the boards have USB3, just not chipset provided. Does it make a difference?
