Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I think you're predicating your entire argument on the assumption of competence on the part of our government. Unfortunately for all of us, this just simply isn't the case...
Thanks for the feedback, good to know the "rattling" isn't normal. Called Newegg again and will try one more time before refunding it and buying locally (wrote down the serial number as well). I'll try and update the thread later for those who might be interested.
Cheers,
MB
I ordered a 300 gb Velociraptor and when I took it out of the anti static bag I noticed a fairly loud rattling sound as I was handling it (sounds like something's loose inside and I can hear it moving whenever I rotate the drive). I called Newegg and they took it back and returned another one...
I think you can set the projector to display images outside it's native resolution; at least that's what a few reviews have said - apparently it can display up to a 1024x768 resolution (link: http://www.techspot.com/review/173-benq-joybee-gp1-projector/page2.html)
Was just wondering if the...
I'm going to be moving to Argentina soon and I need a monitor for the small form factor PC I'm going to bring with me. Unfortunately Argentina has ridiculous import taxes on electronics (they cost 2 to 3 times as much as in the states). This means either paying ridiculous prices for a monitor in...
Skott, thanks for the reply, lots of good info in it, I'll repost what you wrote here for reference:
Hey, MB. I have a SG03 and I'll try and give you some info you can use. If you plan to go quad I would highly suggest using the H50. Someone over at the HF website installed it and it works...
Yep, I meant 1156 boards. Thanks for the input, I think I'll wait for more reviews to come out before making a final decision. By the way, what's your opinion of MSI?
Great. Do you happen to know of any promising mATX motherboards which are i7 compatible? It's been a while since I've built a system and I'm not up to date with things. Generally speaking, which manufacturers do you consider to be the most reliable with the best customer service?
Thanks for the pointers Danny. Just to clarify, if I went with the first build, heat in the system won't be a problem (given the small form factor case)?
About the graphics card, I've had some crappy experiences with ATI in the past, which makes me wary. How does the HD 4870 compare heat-wise...
I'm interested in a portable gaming rig (it'll also be used for light photo/video editing) and given the choice between a gaming laptop or an SFF build, I prefer the latter (cheaper, more bang for the buck, I like building things). The plan right now is to build an SFF rig using the Silverstone...
I just purchased a 1005ha-vu1x and I'm extremely impressed with it. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and short of gaming, it excels. The build quality is extremely good (very sturdy, well built feel - you could probably club a man over the head with it and still check your email...

AndonSage - Thanks for the great info and the link to your impressions thread. Your new rig looks awesome (and well built); I anticipate your bringing AoC to its virtual knees in short order :). I emailed my brother asking him which programs he'll be using and I'll update when I hear back from...
Hi Everyone,
Its been a very long time since I purchased a pre-built computer and about 2 years since I built my own and so Im woefully out of touch with the computer hardware world. I was hoping to get some recommendations for my brother for a good pre-built gaming desktop thats priced...
