"Walkie Talkie Man" by Steriogram EDIT: Wrong, that song is from an old iPod commerical I think . The new one is called "Flathead" by a group called The Fratellis.

From CNN: There was some question as to whether Apple would be able to use the iPhone name for the device. But Cisco Systems (down $0.09 to $28.54, Charts), which owns the rights to the iPhone name, said Tuesday it expects to reach agreement with Apple later Tuesday on using the name for its...

With no other updates, no announcement of iLife '07, etc., I'm kinda iffy on getting a new iMac now. I was hoping to get enough of an update to either take the plunge or stick it out a few more weeks.

Are the newer iMacs shipping with 802.11n? The new Airport Extreme page says, "Most shipping Mac computers and some newer PCs with compatible cards include 802.11n, making them ready for the future." I don't see an upgrade to the specs on the iMac hardware page. EDIT: Never mind, it shows...

The added the new Airport Base Station to the store, with 802.11n. EDIT: Too slow on the draw, heh.

You've been a member here a lot longer than I have, so forgive me, but FIVE faulty MacBooks? Perhaps it's something you're doing wrong?

    Mouse Lag/unresponsiveness

This drove me crazy when I first started using Macs. I posted on a Mac-specific forum back then, and if I remember correctly, I was told the problem lies in the fact that OS X uses logarithmic acceleration, while Windows is linear. EDIT: Does the cursor feel like it slows down over things...

    Mac Mini Core *2* Duo?

Assuming the board has Core 2 Duo support built-in, I'd you definitely could upgrade the CPU yourself. Try the repair guides at ifixit.com for a less-harrowing deconstruction of the mini.

    Final Fantasy XII - "Incredible"

I like the new battle system, but that close-up camera takes some getting used to. I wanted to see more of the environments, and had hoped there was an option to zoom out to see more of the battlefield as well.

    200GB HDD in Macbook Pro's?

Heat, mainly, and noise. Not that the drives are now cacophonous infernos, but with a smaller drive, they could use the recovered space, albeit not enormous, to perhaps put in better (as better can get in such an enclosure) speakers or something similar.

FFXII, widescreen, and Dell 32" LCD HDTV

Hi all: I know that the PS2 isn't state-of-the-art hardware these days, so I wasn't expecting native HD widescreen gaming in all its glory or anything with FFXII. My PS2 (a newer slim silver edition) is hooked up using component cables to a new Dell W3207C 32" LCD HDTV, but even with the...

    200GB HDD in Macbook Pro's?

I'm hoping for both an exponential increase in capacity and speed for 2.5" drives fairly soon so that Apple can do away with 3.5" drives in the iMacs.

    Overheard at the Apple Store

Also, one time I witnessed a teenage dude with about six pages of the official Hilary Duff website open in Safari to demonstrate to his parents how necessary it was for him to get a $2000 computer monitor. Suffice it to say, they walked out a few minutes later empty-handed.
