    Gothca, well I do work daily with electronics/wiring/soldering. by "transplanting" do you mean splicing the wires from the fan controllers and solerding them to the wires on the new fans? If so, do the fan controllers have two or three wires?

    BUT I did do what you suggested by disabling the WEP encryption, and the laptop connects fine. So why can it connect unsecured, but not secured?? Also why can is connect secured at work??
