    Yeah no. Real professionals grade using plasmas and projectors. Atleast in our work. We do have some LCD's here and there but they are only for checking scopes. We also still have some CRT's around.

    I don't agree. I use an Eizo S2411W at work and it has even worse blacks (blue shines through) and the viewing angles are the same even though it's more expensive.

    Yes, it's designed like that. Every other setting than standard will change sharpness levels. And sharpness is done digitally so it will screw up the text.

    The backlight itself is very uniform and good. The problem comes from viewing angles as even the slightest tilt will cause blacks to become greyish. That's why the edges will appear differently colored. If you move your head it will disappear. Not really no. Atleast on the default settings...

    75 hz is way more smoother than 60hz. You can see it immediately on the benq fp241w. Just switch to a lower resolution and select 75hz. I real pity it doesn't support 1920x1200 at 75hz. That means that it's not really dual-link dvi.

    Minimum brightness without affecting colors is 30. Changing contrast from 50 will always affect colors.
