    Crash and burn....

I'm not sure what your income is (and its none of my business) but the best move I ever made was investing in a $40 external USB/FW enclosure, a 200gb IDE drive (not sure what they go for) and a piece of software called Backup to CD-RW Made easy. The software allows for backups to any...

Hit a Folding (Stanford) milestone? Post it here:

/me makes mental note never to take Claritin D :) I also haven't had any 600 pointers, but thats not unexpected as I only have one physical boxen that can handle them. Work won't upgrade my 3 Intel P4's to 1gb RAM.

    Solid AXP boards

Mine too, I had to go with Corsair on that board (which it is also fussy about). I am almost afraid to swap out my t-bird for a barton but really want too in order to reduce heat. The A7N8X runs great when its happy but it isn't happy when I change something.

10,000 for team 33. Compared to many here, that is not a lot but every little bit helps.

    Guess What is Back.............

I think I may have picked one of these up at home but I had to leave before I found out what the point value was. Would be nice, haven't had one yet.

New protein. p1476. Two words. Black magic

73/100 frames complete and it still hasn't died, I am somewhat hopeful I will complete my first P1476. Hope I haven't jinxed it, I'll know in 10-11 hours.

    1,031,356 points to go.

Not minimizing their efforts, but even if the 600 P4's come through, thats 24k points/day (at 400ppd per rig). Thats a hell of a lot of points but we seem to be doing well with our heavy hitters as well. Gardener's like myself seem to be helping too (obviously not to the same degree)...

It's just a bit of friendly jabbing between OCAU and [H]. Will be interesting if they get their user that has supposed 600 P4's. I thought about posting a bit over there but Kodiak and Spectre seem to be doing a fine job :)

How can I become [H]arder, Faster??? Need more points!

One thing you can do to slightly increase your points production is run two consoles on each of the Intel HT boxen you have. This is a judgement call on your part, two instances will increase your ppd from the boxes by 15-30% but will also slow down how fast the units are processed. On my HT...

New protein. p1476. Two words. Black magic

Well my AMD 2600+ Tbird is folding this at 23 mins per frame with an overall WU time of approx 39 hours. Good points, approx 230 ppd if it makes it (not bad for my system). Seems to take about 120mb of RAM and has my CPU running at 48deg C (thats as hot as it gets). I'm not holding my breath.

New protein. p1476. Two words. Black magic

I might as well use this double post for something. I just pulled a p1476 on my AMD rig, Ill post how far I ge with it later tonight. It does seem mighty unstable on my rig.

New protein. p1476. Two words. Black magic

If these are the proteins that show up as little black balls in EMIII, my AMD rig at home can't fold them. 4 or 5 frames in, I get an error and it kicks the WU back to Stanford. I'm not OC'ing the AMD rig and I have never had stability problems with it (other than the fact that the system...

    [H]ardfolding Council

That thread you mentioned was easily the most single helpful thread in getting me (re) started with folding. Other things I personally think should be addressed either in the above thread or in any proposed howto/FAQ thread would be the 50% HT issue, how to embed switches into service based...
