Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
They added a kick starter last year if I remember correctly. I got the version that was released at the time and it was good fun. This in VR though.... Droool
Yeah that's a bummer, you can however run music.youtube.com in audiomode and cast youtube videos (only audio no image) to a CCA. Great for podcast and music videos of live performances
It would be awesome if you could watch a YT video and cast the audio (in sync), but that might never be enabled.
You can group CC and CCAs now. So I have a CC Ultra in the living room and a CCA in the kitchen and a CCA in the office at home. All of them belong to a speaker group.
It's good enough to be used as a headphone amp. For exact spec and measurements go here: http://archimago.blogspot.com/2016/02/measurements-google-chromecast-audio.html
But fair enough, can't compare with a dedicated DAC for $200. I use mine (all four of them) all the time both as headphoneamp...
Held off installing the WHQL driver until after my league race. Just installed it and it seems that the video acceleration issue is fixed together with the gfx anomalies on the desktop. Will do some test later today with all my games.
Follow up,
Using the lower clocks (625MHz) on memory got me a blue screen. So I reset my settings to 1250MHz on the RAM. (Will default to that anyway when running two screens, go figure)
So far no issues, but haven't played any serious games yet, working to much. Just some benchmarking and...
I have the same problems and I "think" I've solved the problem. The cause seems to be that the GFX card (R9 290) can't decide on what speeds it wants to run and when it having problems accelerating video/audio (flash/air apps) it crashes. Found a solution here: Overclockerforums UK
Basically...
Same here, no crashing at all so far (only used it for a few hours. On the 13.12, 14,1 I could not use any flash/air based apps. Had tons of artifacts on the desktop and random lockups.
Haven't tested any games yet but will do tonight.
