Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This is pretty low in my opinion. Getting people (the women in the video's) to watch something, knowing a lot of them are going to be disturbed and offended by it.
I can see the appeal, if I remember back to when I was ten years old and had minimal respect for the opinions, sensibilities and...
If you look at the first lot of photo's by FullVietFX in this thread - http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1480552 you can see that the Accelero Xtreme GTX Pro covers all the same points that the stock cooler does, so it can't be worse than using what you've got, and will probably be better...
Thanks for the photo's. The 'Accelero Xtreme Pro' is definitely an improvement over the previous version.
In fact, not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but just for comparison and reference (and because I've finally decided to sign up to Imageshack and learn how to include photo's...
The heatsinks that came with the old Accelero 280 didn't fit the vram properly and had to be made to fit. But once made to fit they did a good enough job. The new model does address this issue by using different shaped heatsinks, judging from the pictures I've seen on the Arctic Cooling...
I haven't got one, but judging by the changes made to the new model, it would be about the same performance as the previous 'Accelero Xtreme GTX 280', if not slightly better. Reviews of the Accelero Xtreme GTX 280 could tell you what to expect.
Going by the info on the Arctic Cooling...
Installed Windows 7 recently. Using the same drivers that gave me no problem with Vista Ultimate 64-bit, with Windows7 Ultimate 64-bit I can't enable v-sync using OpenGL games (except in windowed mode) and can't change the refresh rate in general from 59Hz. That's all I can think of at the...
I haven't seen it done with monitors, but 360 degree projectors have been done - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqh_F4iN8pg&feature=related
I saw this by coincidence too, just after reading this thread - http://in.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=114089&videoChannel=6
If things keep going...
I get worried seeing you guys talking about removing the aluminium bezels. You can do it but it will mess up your backlighting and leave you with very fragile screens that could crack very easily. It's definitely not worth messing with IMO.
I stripped a 15" monitor a couple of years ago in...
If you go to the Arctic Cooling website, here -
http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2_&mID=237
And follow the links on the middle left you can see the installation instructions for the GTX260 old and new layouts.
In those instructions there's no mention of...
I haven't got an EVGA card, but I'm using an Accelero Xtreme GTX 280 on a Zotac GeForce GTX 285, model [ZT-285E3LA-FSP], (which is probably the other one you've listed there even though they've written it as FCP and not FSP).
If the EVGA and Zotac cards share the same design though, then...
Sorry, can't help, I've never used modded drivers. But now that you mention it, I probably would use them if there were some that would allow the use of colour profiles or the old control panel. Don't suppose you know of any that do that with the modern cards?
