Couple of months ago. That´s my take too, but you should also take into account that I live in Argentina, so it´s not like we get the latest hardware lighting fast (Ryzen was another story, somehow samples were being sold on the market just before launch date :p).

Well, reviews have surfaced. Not really a big gain for the GTX 1060+ over the regular one. Maybe memory timings are all over the place (similar to Polaris).
IMHO, Polaris would have benefited more from this higher performance memory.
Again I´m just using TimeSpy for reference. I believe all cards mentioned (970/1060 290/480) perform more or less the same (power consumption aside):

I was able to achieve similar results using a Nitro (regular) RX 480 4G, modding the BIOS (timings, TDP/TDC, etc) ... So, unless I got a golden sample, I believe is quite possible to achieve high overclocks with an RX 480 (non...
