Yes, I'm in native, 1920 x 1080. Here's another really WEIRD THING. I'm running an hdmi cable AND a dvi cable from my videocard to my monitor. It requires both. WTF? If I unplug one or the other - screen goes black. I'm wondering if this videocard is just toast.....

I just built my new PC, Win7 64, a Sapphire 6970 and a Samsung P2450 monitor. Picture quality on regular windows stuff (fonts, email, text) is AWFUL. Fuzzy, blurry, hard to read. What on earth is going on here? Defective video card? I can't find a Win7 driver for that Samsung...

Yeah, that's where I am now. Same thing happened to my last Plextor drive. I figure one of these days it will just not work. I'd rather replace it before that happens. I just write a bitchy email to Plextor and see what they say.

Just had my second Plextor burner in a row fail because the door won't open. This one is less than a year old. Very frustrating. So who makes a dvd drive that has some actual quality to it?

I'm running an X-Fi soundcard into my Arcam amp / Harbeth speakers. For an experiment I 'borrowed' the DAC out of my main system and plugged it into a usb port and then ran the Arcam off the DAC. Sounded very good and quite comparable to the soundcard. So, why aren't soundcards...

I've been a PC gamer for over 15 years and have owned a LOT of both Nvidia and AMD cards. Sorry, as much as I like the AMD hardware their driver support blows chunks. Always has. This is not news.

This is all very helpful. So what's the diff between the GTX and GTS 460 series? 465, 470? The GTX 460 looks like a reasonably sized card. I'd love to get rid of my giant gaming case and move into a mid-sized case.

Reviews and benchmarks of new cards always compare them to recent or slightly older cards. Which means nothing to me...I know nothing about those newer cards. I wish they would put one or two 'older cards' in benchmarks for those of us who keep cards 2-3 years! So what's a good...
