I called LSI and they said that it is a known bug in the firmware and that they have a fix in the works. The fix is apparently 1-2 months away.

That is odd. The 9265 and 9271 have the same processor, firmware and drivers. I have tried it several times and tried updating the firmware. I guess I will give it one more shot and then call LSI tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
