just on how it loads windows to desktop. when running 3-4-4-8 my start button and icon tray load fast no lag, when i have it set to anything different the tray and start menu button dont load it kind of sticks and shows a blue background untill everything is loaded. thats how im thinking its...
i did three test with sis sandra
3-4-4-8 1:1 = 5254mbs/5123mbs
2.5-3-3-7 1:1 = 5325mbs/5343mbs
2.5-3-3-6 1:1 = 5372mbs/5378mbs
so i guess it is faster but when loading windows 3.4.4.8 seems to load faster for some reason.
getting into windows has slowed down a bit. playing BF2 hasn't changed from loading times at all going from 1.5 gigs to 2.0 gig of crucial ballistix. i had kingston hyper x pc3200 ram before this and though that the 2gigs would be benneficial. especially in loading times. also its a pretty...
might of fixed the sluggish problem, my comp was running the 2x1gb sticks at 3-3-3-8 and i set them manual to 3-4-4-8 and now it seems to run alot better, but still cant overclock my cpu past 3.5ghz even at that its unstable. maybe its my 3.0c northwood chip being crappy.
im only able to overclock to 230mhz fsb giving me a total of 3450ghz. memory is at 2.4-3-3-8 1:1. i tried to 3.6ghz but its post but when it comes to winxp logo screen its just blank.
i just installed my memory and my computer seems slower for some reason. computer in sig. i got both sticks running dual channel mode, and they're in performance mode as well. i've tried to tighten the timming from 3-4-4-8 to 2.5-3-3-7 to see if their was any difference but its still slow. my...
