For anyone who has one, how is your colour uniformity? I have one (in Australia) and it's very good except for a prominent band of yellow discolouration right in the centre of the screen all the way from top to bottom and greenish discolouration around the edges. Planning to return it but not...
How is the backlight bleeding and screen uniformity? That's my one worry with these 21:9 displays, although the 29" ones were generally not too bad according to reviews.
It's strange - I just bought two FS2333s (from Fnatic, for the person who was wondering earlier if they were legit) and one has almost perfect backlight uniformity while the other is terrible. Fortunately they both have good colour uniformity which is my main concern.
Thanks - Eizo also confirmed directly to me that it was true hardware calibration (albeit not as sophisticated as in the ColorEdge models) so I hope that's true. I've ended up ordering two of them (price on the Fnatic website is ridiculously low, under 300 euro each), so I'll find out soon...
It is certainly much lighter than my NEC PA241W, which I believe uses the same coating as the U2410. I'd describe it asalmost semi-gloss. Problem is it seems (on mine at least) to be accompanied by much, much worse IPS glow, so pick your poison I guess.
Can anyone with an FS2333 confirm whether hardware calibration is possible on this monitor? By that I mean using EasyPix or some other software like basICColor to program an internal LUT in the monitor. EasyPix claims to perform 'hardware calibration' and the FS2333 is on its compatibility list...
Well, my U2713H will also be going back. IPS glow is unbelievable - as bad as that pic posted above, perhaps worse. Coupled with backlight bleed, it's basically unusable with any dark material and the glow is even noticeable with some lighter material. Just unacceptable for a monitor of this...
Can I ask what you're planning to get instead? I was almost set on a U2713H given the hardware calibration and uniformity compensation but it seems neither works very well. I had an NEC PA241W, which was great except for the horrible AG coating and the size. Unfortunately I think the NEC PA271W...
Don't suppose anyone has any idea where to get one of these in (or shipped to) Australia? I've been looking around on Ebay, in classifieds etc but have never seen one.
Displayport, but same thing happens with DVI.
EDIT: I do see some banding in that Lagom image, but not the small vertical bands I was talking about. So maybe you're right that it's an issue with the images I've been looking at. I've done a few more tests creating greyscale gradients in...
Sorry for bumping a slightly older thread, but I didn't think this question deserved a new one.
I've just gotten a PA241W. Very happy with it, but I do have one issue -- I'm getting some colour banding in gradients. I use a smooth gradient on the Windows desktop and can notice some banding on...
I currently have a BenQ FP241W. The backlight seems to be dying and it's out of warranty, so I'm looking at the 2209WA as a replacement.
My main issue with the FP241W is the black levels - everything's a shade of grey, even at the lowest brightness setting. So how are the blacks on the 2209WA...
Yeah, I guess you already had the aspect ratio options there when you got it. I've had my LCD since November '06, so I guess I'll just have to put up with using 1280x720 over VGA.
I'm not sure that being able to properly display 1080p would make much difference anyway, at least with the Xbox.
So do you have an older version FP241W without either firmware update? Because I was told yesterday by BenQ that my older version does not have enough internal memory to take both firmware upgrades - so because I got the aspect ratio update, I couldn't get the overscan update.
