Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So after I create a raid set. Do I have to create volume set. Then mount under disk management? I don't understand the difference b/w raid set and volume set. I tried reading the manual but it has so much info.
That is where i am at. Disk management said i have to Initialize the disk, it ask me to pick Master Boot Record (MBR) or GUID_Partition_Table. I dont know which one to pick. Its 17TB raid 6.
I would return my loud 1882ix-12 and get something else but I got such a great deal on it, $664 shipped. Where would I get the water block for the 1882ix?
I just got my 4 drive from newegg. Two of the drive static bag was rip. it looks like one of the drive with the tear has a metal chip on the bottom. Doesn't look like they improve there shipping.
I will be reading mostly 40gb files. Let me get this straight, so if my psu dies or power go out. All my data is loss without bbu? Then Is it safe to shut down my pc in a raid 6?
My board doesn't say pci3 or 2. But it does say: 1882ix ver 3.0. Is that pci3? But there is a newegg PCIe2 sticker outside on the box.
Sorry for the dumb question
