Hello,
First off I know gaming and laptop has never really gone together, but Im looking to get a gaming laptop because of all the traveling I do on the weekends. Budget wise I was hoping to not spend more than $1200, but cheaper is better. As for what Im looking for, Id like to get a...
Im going to be building an HTPC soon, and I was originally going to hold off on putting in a Blu-ray drive, but my local Frys had a Sony Blu-Ray BDUX10S on sale for $169, $189 after taxes, so I decide to pick it up and test it out. So far seems pretty nice and Im planning on renting some...
Well I just realized that the Gigabyte board uses DDR2 1066 instead of 800 so i'll have to change that, and I think I'm going to go pick up a Sony's Internal Blu-Ray Drive BDU-X10S, Fry's has it on sell for $169 seems to be a pretty good deal. Anyone have any experience with this drive? Other...
Well I know you don't have a Hauppage tuner, but there have been know issues with some programs that run under vista 64 with 4GB of memory. I had a similar problem with mine and luckily someone posted the correct drivers for my card to fix the issue. Here's the website that helped me out...
From what I have read about, the 780G is a dam fine board, unless you want LPCM over the HDMI, then you'll need to go with a g35. One other thing to consider is the new 8200/8300's that are supposed to be coming out soon. There supposed to fully support LPCM over the HDMI, so it might be worth...
Thanks again for that, link, fixed everything. I would think it's for people who have 4GB and are using vista 64, because I know there are other issues with other programs.
I went to Circuit City yesterday to pick up a Hauppage 1600 to test it out for my future HTPC build, and so far Im glad I got it at a retail store, because it looks like Im going to have to return it unless you guys can help. I installed the card and all the drivers and software that it came...
I don't know if this is true for the 150 or 500, but according to this site: http://www.hdtvtunerinfo.com/wintvhvr1600review.html the "Drivers support only one HVR-1600 per PC when using Hauppauge application (multiple's supported in MCE, SageTV and BeyondTV)"
Yea, I'm going to have to weigh my options. Right now I don't have a receiver, I'm just trying to future proof my HTPC, cause once I get out of my apartment and into a house then I'll spend some money on a nice sound system.
