I was going to post my IP35 results, but now i'm just in on the Pepsiennis drama :D Ok i'm running X3220 at 3.24ghz at 360 mhz fsb It wasn't stable with 4 gigs of ram. So I had to pull 2 of them out. Kinda sucks. Idling at 38C doesn't go over 50C when i'm doing something...

Which motherboard would you choose? Got a shortlist...

waiting for IP35 PRO snake version The features like CMOS cleanage and placement of SATA ports, and low profile heatpipe is winning me over. Also i love the layout and if they follow their QuadGT formula we might have a great product. P5K is my close second choice.

    Intel P35 & G33 Express Chipsets @ [H]

Oh yeah most definately. They've been all over the place. I mostly like the features and the fact that the cooling solution is not as crazy as other boards. Yeah i'm not loyal to any brand, since all of em had a board they don't want to talk about. I have DFI now, but they'll take their time...

I think I'll be going with Abit's IP35 Pro. Seems like improved Quad GT. Comes out in late june.

Talk me out of getting XEON 3220

Q6600 seems a little cheaper. Multiplier is the same. If I was going for a multi i'd go with QX6700, then again I don't think i'll be able to afford that right now (only in june). Server processors don't usually have benches out. If you look at the specs they're identical, I just see some...

Talk me out of getting XEON 3220

My choice is pretty simple either buy Xeon 3220 today or within a week (before they're sold out) or buy Q6600 with my P35 (will probably go with Gigabyte DQ6) mobo sometime in the beginning of June. The problem is that either way i'll be OC'ing the processor and from what I know Xeon 3220 OC...
