Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Unless your CPU is clearly underpowered (Q6600 obviously isn't) then in almost all cases a faster GPU makes all the difference.

What seems certain (and Newell has stated this sorry, can't be bothered finding source) is that Episode 3 will reach a conclusion with the immediate storyline arc.
All Valve has said about post-Ep3 is that they'll have a breather and think about what's next.
So it's safe to expect...
I suppose it depends on your likely upgrade path.
I know you can't know what you'll get a couple of years down the track, but if you think you're unlikely to SLI/Crossfire (like me, I stick with one gfx card as a rule) and your CPU will be comparable, then I see no reason a Corsair 520HX or...
