Since I'm going with 4K pretty soon, I will switch my Titans for R9s.
Sorry Nvidia, but AMD is showing you how to do it properly with high end resolution gaming. Good price (half the price of a Titan), and 10-20% better performance at 4K with early drivers.
I'm using multi-monitors (3X 30'') and my voltage goes down to 0.875v no problems at desktop/2D, using a modified marteen-naennon BIOS.
No reason to fear that one. No contingencies. 3X 30''. Working fine.
I bought 3 Titans to use with 3X 30'' and play at 7680X1600.
No buyer remorse. Even 3 Titans are sweating at that resolution. :)
But I expected more from Nvidia. I was with AMD for the last 5 years, and after hearing all those ''Nvidia drivers are soo much better AMD drivers are the worst...
Kyle.
Big question.
I'm just curious. Why didn't a single reviewer out there got any throttling problems with their Titan sample while the throttling problem is now pretty widespread for almost every Titan owners out there?
You should really reconsider testing a ''regular'' Titan...
This. +1.
I'm sure that 98% of the people who will buy a Titan DON'T need a Titan at all...
The target for the Titan is multi-monitors/high resolutions set-ups. There is 6Gb of VRAM on it for a reason...
Even 1080p at 120Hz is NOT the target for the Titan.
1080p 120Hz. 1 Titan is enough. Please, don't buy 2.
I'm playing at 7680X1600 and bought 3. I'm the target for those cards, you're not. I will probably never need 6Gb, but you, you will never need anything near 6Gb at 1080p. NEVER. Probably half that with tons of mods, etc...
You should...
Early adopters, early beta drivers, everyone is panicking for no reason... the usual pattern with every new cards...
Just wait for more mature drivers and hacked BIOS. It will get better... Like it always does...
No. There is 6Gb for a reason on the Titan.
The Titan is for those using multi-monitors high-res set-ups. I'm gaming at 7680X1600, so I bought 3 Titans. That's it. 6Gb is for multiple monitors with a really high-res, like 3X 30'' or 3X 24''. Under that, you DON'T need a Titan and 6Gb.
The...
Titan for 1080p 120Hz... sigh. Can't beleive people are telling you to buy a Titan for that...
Please, don't by a Titan to game at 1080p 120Hz, it was not put on the market for you. There is 6Gb of VRAM on the Titan of a reason. The card is on the market for multi-monitor high-res set-ups...
I was thinking of replacing my 4X 7970 Quad-Fire with 4X Titans to drive my 7680X1600 set-up, but not anymore...
Lackluster card for the price. My 4X 7970 set-up is working so well (despite what some reviewers are saying) with Radeon Pro and latest beta drivers... And with the upcoming AMD...
