Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Out of curiosity, what program do you use for backup? (1:1 backup? Or image based?) And what HDD brand/size?
As funny as it may sound, but of all the system that I have right now, the tiny and underpowered HP x485 mediaserver is the one that I value the most... It has 10TB of storage space...
The UPS has been working for over a year now, so I think it should be okay.
I am just really worried that somehow my PC components (mobo esp.) is capable destroying PSUs :)
Oh, doh, I have already called the RMA department and have already shipped it out :( ( btw, what is the deal with the UPS Store discount? How much is the discount on shipping back anyway?) I should've shipped it to you so we can all find out what's wrong with it :)
I should have taken a...
Heh, I was just about to make a post about the same thing here... My brand new BFG 800W ES just blew last night, it too was on a UPS...
I heard a loud pop when I try to power up the computer (it was supposed to be on, but for some reason it has shut off, I am guess that we got a brown out in...
I too have been having scaling issue in 32-bit Vista
I have Planar 26" 8800GTX and now also a 9800GX2.
For some reason, no matter what I do, the NV control panel thinks that my monitor's native res is 1920 x1080 (as opposed to 1920 x1200)
And on the scaling type selection screen, I can't...
Did you create a separate profile for games? How did you do that? I have the Eye One calibrator, but I have only created a profile to load when Vista boots up, I didn't know that you could create separate profile for individual games...
Wow that is an amazing review! Your "short" review had 10x more useful information than a lot of the professional reviews! Great job! And thanks for the review!
But now you started a bad trend, we are going to ask you to review more monitors :P What are your thoughts on the Gateway's 30"...
Glad that you liked the color
Thanks for the info on that ASUS card. But lately I have found that the quality of ASUS product aren't what they used to be, and even though they have 3 yr warranty, getting any sort of response from them is costy in time, patience and money...
I will...
Thanks for the thorough review guys! It is too bad that your hardwork is getting turned into flame baits... I for one, definitely appreciate the different take on things here.
I am a fan of both AT and the [H], so I don't consider the reviews to be a pissing contest between the two site...
I still would like to know if the panel uses 10 or 12-bit LUT. If the LUT is still 8-bit the wide gamut is going to be just a gimmick for the most part :(
Actually increased color gamut w/o moving to 10-bit or 12-bit LUT would make it less of a great feature.
For those of you that have the monitor, does it still use the 8-bit LUT that most monitors use?
