So the cable modem ethernet cable goes into a standard 4 port switch, along with my NS5 cable, and a cable to his router. My question is, would it be possible to connect his computer directly to this switch? (he currently does not have a router, just uses a direct connection to Cable modem...)...
My only internet option at my site is dialup (friend has cable so his end would support it). I would like to have the option to do some lan gaming, and media sharing with my friend.
As far as the NS5 idea, would i be able to plug the ethernet cable from that into the WAN port of a router...
