    Alright I just spent another hour on it- cleared the CMOS and tried a PS/2 keyboard. But as it turns out the problem wasn't caused by the dislodging at all, but an apparently faulty portable HDD that is, I'm guessing, drawing too much power. It's a WD Passport 120gb that I borrowed yesterday...

    One other thing to add- The computer remained on after the PCI card got pulled, and appeared to work normally, other than the audio. I shut it down to reseat the card and when I booted it back up, the above is the result. I just pulled all the ram and video to see if the LED diagnostics...
