Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just like some reassurance :p And I'm planning early here, dont intend to get it before christmas/new years earliest. Thanks though, hopefully this monitor is the one!
Alright cool so I can still hook it up with the PS3 right for the proper HD experience (ie. 1080p/720p)?
And 24 inch The Gateway FPD2485W seems like the winner. So is it a winner guys (on paper)?
Hey im considering this but does anybody know if it'll be a GOOD choice for PS3 gaming? I want to use it for next-gen gaming so it must be able to connect to the PS3 which has HDMI (can this monitor do that?) and play in 1080p (or 720p)
also can it display 576p incase? (PAL)
PLEASE HELP
how does that work? if the gateway has no HDMI port how do u connect it with the PS3?
also does the PS3 come with HDMI cables? im guessing it doesnt but im not sure.
OK The Benq seems like the best choice. Even though it appears it isn't 1:1 scale they say they are definitely gonna fix it soon. West = too pricy for me.
So the Benq has
- HDMI (for the HDMI to DVI adapter)
- It's HDCP compliant in order for the HDMI cables to work for the ps3.
-...
Wait is the OP suggesting that using a computer monitor and connecting it to the PS3 through HDMI-DVI (which is compulsory anyway) somehow effects the audio or something? HighTest I was thinking along the same lines as you, just use the speaker system I have been using all this time?? But now...
Nice monitor mate and it's cheaper as well. HDCP compliant and 1920x1200 too. Although I just checked the Benq and the Image Contrast Ratio read 1000:1 (same as the gateway) Am I missing something?
Also the Gateway lacked HDMI port, would that effect me in any way?
^kewl I checked the specifications on that Benq.

Seems like a reliable guy (over $1000 though damn. cost more than the PS3) How is the scaling though? It didn't say. is it 1:1 scaling?
I see, fair enough I'll research that also.
Thx for the suggestion on the monitors but for the Westinghouse it needs to be at 1920x1200 doesnt it? (for the 1080p)
Anyway can someone plz confirm the iv points I made in my first post? Any gurus about?
It depends, I cannot decide right now how much I'll spend, and a 20inch range monitor is fine (ie. anything from 20-30 or more). I'm open for pretty much most suggestions, although right now my main concern is my information. Is everything I stated correct and confirmed and all?
