I think the ARC100 is good enough, it uses a new SSD controller. It's the same one in the Vector/Vertex 460, and new Toshiba nandflash

I'm not sure about Gigabyte is that bad, but for sure Asus and Asrock are really good!

Sorry, the Asrock might not be half the price, but its definitely a lot cheaper.

If you're running a X99 extreme 3 and whatever that is you're running, don't fry it...sell both powers and get a 1000W or more.

Maximus VII Gene is nice, but it sells for over 200 bucks if you can find it. Asrock Z97e-itx is half the price!

Don't think Kingston is worth considering, but OCZ now uses Nand from Toshiba, it's worth looking into.

I've always liked Asus for reliable peformance or Asrock extra features!

Thought one...but MSI Z97-G45 Gaming or Extreme 6 are nice. Get which ever one fits your overall look better ;)

For sure, I'd consider Samsung, they're the biggest brand for SSD, but they also cost a bit more, for example 840EVO 256GB is $135-140, but Crucial or OCZ is just around 100 bucks...

@atp1916, cool MX100 looks like a good deal, but what about the OCZ or Sandisk, are they also worth considering?

256GB is enough? And which specific models?
