I have a Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus 2.0 mother board with a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS sound card. Whenever I have heavy disk access I get clicks and pops in the sound.
When there is no disk access (or very little) the sound is good.
To reproduce the problem I play anything with Windows...
for signal to noise ratio, you want bigger numbers. consider the formula
SNR=S/N
where SNR is the Signal to Noise Ratio,
S is the Signal level, and
N is the noise level
