Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
6990 is equivalent to the 590. 7990 is equivalent to the 690/titan.
I used to run dual 6990's in quad xfire. Worked great but the vrams just overheated like crazy and MSI ended up issuing me refunds because they couldnt replace the cards. Went with a single 6970 to get by and recently upgraded...
I originally posted that the drivers made bioshock unplayable but since then have removed and reinstalled bioshock and did the same with the drivers (twice) and somehow now bioshock plays perfect. Instead of removing the drivers and reinstalling it, I just reinstalled it on top of the old...
I tried it and got it the first day they offered the full retail version. Made myself get used to it and even though I finally did get used to it, I just hated it. I have 3 24" monitors and it was extremely multi-monitor unfirendly.
Everyone talks about tricks to make it more like windows 7...
I wouldnt even worry about all the work with welding/brazing fins on. I would bury the barrel and see what that does for you first. I seriously doubt you will need any more help than 30 gallons of water.
Yeah bioshock is unplayable for me. If I disable SLI then works great, with SLI enabled it has high frame rates and as soon as I touch the mouse, it drops to about 5fps and stutters like crazy. Let it idle and frame rates jump up again. Havent been able to play at all on the new drivers.

Yep Great review, I just went with dual 4gb 680's and couldnt be happier. I upgraded from a single lightning 6970 and one thing I noticed was 30-40fps with the 680's seems alot smoother than 30-40fps with the 6970. I thought it was just me but obviously not.
Nope no difference. On one side your limited by your PCI lanes and on the other hand your limited by our NF200 chipset. I have dual 6990's and wondered the same when I was doing my build and after reading multiple reviews testing it seems that although 16x/16x does perform better in some places...
