Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I had a QX6700 processor die. It was OEM so no warranty.:( Too much heat, I think. I got a new Q6600. I installed it into my EVGA quad core optimized motherboard. I called tech support. He told me I need a bios update. Hard to do with no video on my 8800GTX. They also said to run an older CPU...
I would take it back. I hate dead pixels. I sent a laptop back because of that. Too much money to spend for defects like that. It is not normal. I have 2 lcds, and have since bought 5 laptops. All with no dead pixels.
I narrowed it down to the power supply. I got it running briefly this evening. It then shut off and did the same thing as before. I will get a new one tomorrow.
I reseated my heatsink twice because my quad core has been running hot. The first time, It booted fine but was still too hot. So, I reseated the heatsink and applied new compound. Now the computer will not start up. When I press the power button it comes on momentarily. The fans spin for a few...
I got a new one for $1200 plus tax and shipping. It had a dead pixel. I cant deal with that. I got a replacement and sent the other one back. It will end up in the outlet. Pay a bit more and return it for another one, if it has a dead pixel. This is too much money to spend to end up with that.
