Got my replacement today. This one is just as big of a POS as the 1st one. On a side note everything about Dell sucks. There quality, customer service, time till delivery, phone reps.....the list is long and they fail in every regard. Leave it to Dell to find a way to make an IPS panel inferior...
Looks like some tinting but not as bad as some others. Mine was a lot worse. But it looks real dark on the left compared to the right.
I've come to the conclusion tinting isn't the main problem with these monitors. It's the lack of uniformity. The left side on all of these monitors is darker...
Fair enough. I'll take your word that the monitor reviewed was off the shelf. I'll only add that it sure was a lucky pick.

They were reviewing a cherry picked panel. The best case scenario I've seen so far that other people have got is slight tinting. I haven't heard of a single person with a panel as good as the one in the review. The review has little worth because it's not a representation of what the average...
I feel sorry for those who are waiting so long just to get the 1st panel. Cause you know that they will then have to wait another 2 months to exchange it.
Just got off the phone with Dell. They have delayed my replacement for 3-5 weeks.
When I 1st called them to arrange a replacement they told me 3-5 business days. Today would have been day 6 and they never even bother to notify me of the change or update the status on their web page that it had...
Your right, I should have come back and followed up on that. I played a few games with it last night and it was fine. Actually quite stunning in comparison to my old TN. If it didn't have tint issues or stuck pixels I'd be happy with it overall. That's why I'm taking a chance on a replacement...
Well it was a PITA but I got a replacement on the way. They said 3-5 days and I made the lady promise it wouldn't be a refurb. I think it's smart to return it soon before they have a stock of refurbs. I'm pretty sure in a month from now that's all people doing returns will get.
The only thing I did to the picture was crop it so it wasn't a huge file. Other than that those are the colors straight from my camera. I don't think it's as severe in person but it is noticeable enough that I requested a refund.
