But as I understand, native "retina" 4:1 scaling (3840x2160) doesn't change anything, resolution is still 8k only UI is 4 times larger, it makes no sense not to be in HiDPI mode ( still, maybe I don't understand) .. Problem would be scaling larger then "looks like 3840x2160", then virtual... -

Thanks, I read that already . They were talking about video upscaling where they mentioned artifacts, I was hoping to know more how it behaves in PC mode enabled, with no processing. Text sharpness and that .. They gave it 9 out of 10 score as a PC monitor so I guess it is good enough .. but... -
2019 q900 8k Samsung as a monitor
Hi. I know there is no 8k 60Hz 4:4:4 hdmi 2.1 source yet, but anyway I'd like to use it with macbook 4k output. I guess soon there will be hdmi 2.1 upgrades to laptops and GPUs, but for now 4k to 8k. 55" has 160 ppi, 65" 135 ppi, that's crazy for such a big screens. Question is, anyone tried...
