Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks, I've read most of that already.
And as you said, no really information about monitor usage, except gaming.
I don't wanna use it at a desk as a multi monitor replacement but from a distance as one 4k HiDPI screen with macbook pro.
This is really first world problem (although I'm not...
If you think this thread, I think I read it all and didn't find proof it does all it needs to do as a monitor ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm talking about Samsung 900d.
There is a info button for the source and there you can see resolution, refresh rate, bit depth..
No, actually he bought 4k 55" oled. He wanted to buy 8k but they didn't have it etc. You haven't watched the video 😋
....
About 10bit and does it matter. Panel is 10bit, hdmi is capable of 10bit, computer outputs 10bit.. so for the price of that TV I wish it does 10bit. And I export all the...
Well, 65" it's like 4x32" 4k monitors, and I will not use it at the desk as a monitor all the time, but just as a huge screen when I need it, TV on the wall, I'm like 1,5 - 2m away ( 4 - 6 feet).
This thread is about 8k monitors, are there any 8k monitors except Samsung 8k tvs? I don't...
I think I've read every page in this, and avs forum 900d thread, and I haven't found clear confirmation it does 8k 60Hz and 4:4:4 chroma in 10bit.
Somewhere on reddit, can't find it now, someone was telling how great this TV is as a monitor, and then he showed it is running 8k 8bit 4:2:0 ...
I will buy m2 pro macbook anyway, and try it out, but I'm impatient to know what's happening :)
and in my country m2 is still unavailable ..
I'm now using it in 4k (from non-8k macbook), and size of UI text and everything for my setup is quite ok, but with HiDPI 8k I'd have same size UI but...
But as I understand, native "retina" 4:1 scaling (3840x2160) doesn't change anything, resolution is still 8k only UI is 4 times larger, it makes no sense not to be in HiDPI mode ( still, maybe I don't understand) ..
Problem would be scaling larger then "looks like 3840x2160", then virtual...
I planed to ask similar question, but here it is already.
I saw two videos, mkbhd and macrumors (you can find it on youtube, both are reviews of m2 pro/max macbook) where they connect mac to 8k tv, and it seems there is no HiDPI? Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like that, just different...
Thanks, I read that already .
They were talking about video upscaling where they mentioned artifacts, I was hoping to know more how it behaves in PC mode enabled, with no processing. Text sharpness and that ..
They gave it 9 out of 10 score as a PC monitor so I guess it is good enough .. but...
Hi.
I know there is no 8k 60Hz 4:4:4 hdmi 2.1 source yet, but anyway I'd like to use it with macbook 4k output.
I guess soon there will be hdmi 2.1 upgrades to laptops and GPUs, but for now 4k to 8k.
55" has 160 ppi, 65" 135 ppi, that's crazy for such a big screens.
Question is, anyone tried...
