    I agree, and thus I can't say I'd spend $x amount without knowing the benefits. If it significantly improves gameplay and is supported by most games, then I'd go for it at a price relative to the rest of my system/budget.

    Looks pretty good. Does it come with rack-mount hardware? Are you doing the software for it too? I've been contemplating building an HTPC/media server for some time now, but I've found the software can be daunting depending on what you want to get out of it.

    I suggest you rethink the top of the desk. Desks that "close you in" too much are difficult to live with because you want/need room to roll around a little in your chair. I look at your design and cringe at how difficult it would be to retreive a dropped pen or something from under the desk...

    What happened to the updates? I come here (I check the Doom3 thread first) every day to check on the progress...and am disappointed almost every time. :mad:
