Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks. However, my experience with NAS is that unless you have everything cabled, transferring files over Wifi is very slow, and I don't have cabling. I normally process my Blurays in my PC, and transferring to the NAS takes forever by wifi.
I am not super crazy about coloring and such. I am...
Hello guys.
Some years ago I needed to build a HTPC and I was nicely advised here. So I am back again in 2019.
I want to build a low cost HTPC that supports 10 bit HEVC@4K and 10 SATA hard drives. It can be a 6 SATA motherboard with some extension card.
I will probably run Windows 10 with it...
Hi. I just got all the components and I already installed most things.
Now, I bought an original LSI 9240-8i, not an IBM Branded one. I believe I can still do the cross flash, but want to make sure.
The other question is, you mention IT mode, but it looks to me that IR mode has all the...
I thought your only job was to be waiting for my doubts! ;)
I got confused because I thought that at this level of drives (11), a mid tower was too small to be taken seriously, but since you confirmed it, i trusted you and ordered it.
Actually this is the key point why I decided to follow...
I assume you are working or occupied with more interesting or pressing things, but, just in case you haven't seen my previous post... I still have some doubts! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Thanks again for all your help!
Your link gives an error.
This link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146078 (notice the additional 8 at the end), brings me to the "NZXT Source 210 Elite Black Steel with painted interior ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Black Front Trim". But that is a "mid tower", I'm...
It has to do with costs, both solutions are about the same, the difference is that I can sell my HTPC and recover money. Also, about the noise I decided to install this pc on another room, and use a long (10 meter) hdmi cable so that the noise, if any, is no noticeable. Since it has 2 hdmi, I...
For reasons I don’t want to discuss, I decided in favor of a big HTPC with 40TB of hard drive space.
These are all the parts that with the help of forum members I have selected, thanks to all of them, for a total of $452.
Now, I have checked myself and it appears that all the options...
I have one question about the SeaSonic S12G http://www.seasonicusa.com/S12G.htm
How many molex plugs does it has? It seems it has 3, is that correct? If that is the case, I would use 2 of this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119238 to have 12 sata power connectors, is...
I have to agree with you. The important thing is that if one of the hd die, at leas have access to the rest.
My original plan was to FlexRaid, but since everybody was talking about ZFS, i thought, ok, that is the way to go. But I would rather use FlexRaid or unRAID, whatever fits my needs better.
Now I see your point. Your solution is much better. Thanks for that!
Now, the only thing I might buy, is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817996019
It is much better rated than the cooler master, but I believe it should fit ok?
