    I received my new Dell 2405. I hooked it up to my 6800GT together with my old Samsung 17" (both via DVI). I set up the displays using the already installed nVIDIA drivers. I hooked up the monitors USB cable as well. The monitor seems to be working fine - running at native 1920 x 1200...

    UPDATE: Just checked the website again. The monitor now has a $200 instant rebate along with the $100 mail-in rebate bringing the total price to $1299. Not bad but no where near the $799 price.

    worth upgrading from 6800gt OC to x850xt?

    I wouldn't bother - I don't think the performance gains are worth the $$$ unless you can find some to pay you top dollar for your 6800 GT. I'd save the money and put it towards an upgraded motherboard and next generation card (7800 GTX or better) when you are ready to make the jump to PCI-E.
