Just got the monitor, perfect panel, out of the box color accuracy is much better than the U2711 and U2410 I own, pretty much matched what the claimed on the report. surprisingly, the Standard preset offer the better of them all. good enough for ordinary user but not for user after decent color... -

2070SB vs. G520? (CRTs)
I had owned NEC FP2141SB, Samsung 900NF/700NF and some other Diamondtron tubes, sold all of them because i preferred Trinitron. currently still happy with Sony G520, G420, G400 and some E2x0 17". I'm not going into Diamondtron vs Trinitron, just wanna say, they have very different color... -

22 or LCD with 8bit panel
if you find the text too small to read, you should change the Windows default font size to "large" or "extra large". dont mess with the resolution other than native in LCD, as the pixel layout on LCD is fixed, unlike CRT which can use multiple color trio--RGB phosphor to represent a single... -

19" NEC FE991SB vs 19" Sony G410 ?

try moving the monitor around. this problem is usually cause by earth magnetic field if you dont have any electrical device around. -

What is the biggest CRT monitor ever made?.
IIRC, its THE Sony GDM-FW900, 24" widescreen FD Trinitron. unfortunately, Sony find they can earn more money by selling LCD than high quality AG tube/monitor. -

any of the above mentioned AG monitor has focus adjustment feature--if you remove the casing. Most Sony monitor has 2, one each for horizontal and vertical adjustment; or 3, additional for brightness adjustment--rarely found on higher end model which are mostly electronically controlled by the... -

Why are people picky about LCD Brightness and Viewing Angles?
i dont care about te brightness, i actually find LCD too bright. hate it when manufacturer claim their LCD's contrast is >500:1. if the result achieve is by keep turning up the brightness, its useless. who wants to look straight at spotlight? 500cd/m2 brightness but black is at 1cd/m2....we need... -
