Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hrm, I'm not sure if I want to reinstall everything -- has anyone had keyboard/mouse stuttering issues? It's absurdly annoying, not sure if it's the mobo or something else, but it's happening regardless of which port I connect my KVm to.
I've put everything into an SG05 temporarily for warranty purposes (will repurpose the SG05 for lighter work later).
The Samuel 17 may not be the best cooler, but height wise it is pretty awesome. You'll still need a slim fan if you want to use a full size PSU, but pairing it with the...
Anybody having trouble with controlling the fan speeds on this? My Silverstone AP121s are chugging along at 75% full speed and need to shut up, but the ET6 software is doing nothing...
Wow, I just put together the new SG05 with the ST45SF and I have to say...what a pain in the ass!
I've worked with Shuttles before, but that was when video cards didn't require any 6-pin connectors, forget two of them!
I shoehorned into here:
i5-760
Samuel 17 w/Air Penetrator
Front...
Can you provide links to the cable parts? And, did you use the Dremel for everything? It seems like it should be powerful enough to do that. I'm interested in trying this myself, though I've never attempted any case mods.
If there is anything that could be improved on this design -- if you've...
I guess I misinterpreted Matt's message :( -- perhaps he meant he's shipping out the final specs to the producer? Either way, he is around -- somewhere. :)
torr3nt, did you make that bracket for the extension cord or did you buy that somewhere?
Also --- isn't there enough room to turn the PSU lengthwise? According to Newegg, the case is 13" long - 6.7" for the mobo so 6.3" -- taking the front into consideration, that looks like another 1" off...
Well, general rule of thumb:
If you are in New York, you are fucked. If Newegg has it, go Newegg.
Otherwise, go Amazon.
:(
I like Amazon, but that stupid ruling by the New York courts last year killed my purchases from them.
I returned my ST45SF as a precaution, but now I'm power supplyless :(
Silverstone has a (new?) Strider Plus @ 500W that's 140mm, just like the Seasonic I brought up a couple pages back, except they also seem to sell short cables too...
My first two PC builds ever were Shuttle SFFs -- I upgraded one day to ATX for something powerful enough to handle lab work, but as that became my home PC and I moved around NYC, it became increasingly annoying. I'm going back to SFF with my next build.
That, and during NBA games I'll be able...
