Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My cards been running a whole 2 days and hasn't even caught fire. I suspect this wont be a problem for the vast majority of users, over pci-e usage has been shown in various models over the years and casues little in the way of issues. It was fairly common with AGP too.
Novatech have the Powercolor ones in stock at £220 inc VAT. Picked one up this afternoon. If US price is $240 that is not even £10 over the USA price when you factor in VAT.
For those interested in a stock synthetic result with an ancient I7-3820:

Just got mine from a local shop. Working fine but I cant seem to find Wattman in the driver (Driver was upgraded from a recent Crimson one). Any idea how to get Wattman?
I thought this was just a Mantle demo, nothing much to do with Nvidia.

Just wanted to let you all know that in this case the issue appears to be Sandra. Linpack performance was fine on the E5-4617s after ISOC was disabled.
For the record:
Linpack - 278Gflops
3D Mark - 7400
Sandra results remained a but weird. The R based programming routines the system is...
Good to know. With the Supermicro dual boards we usually fix the low threshold issue with IPMITool so it makes sense that SuperDoctor would handle this when IPMI is not fitted.
On the plus side you will be able to get a "V2" E5-2609 in the next few weeks which will use quite a bit less power and offer 10%+ extra performance for the same price.
This setup is on its initial install of 64GB RAM (Each CPU is running 8 4GB sticks at 1600) which should be enough for the CPU based benchmarks. RAM performance looks good (72Gbyte/sec).
E5-2640 is the same CPU with Hyperthreading enabled but a lower clock speed so I would be interested in...
It is but the CPU only has 32 Lanes available to the Bridge chips so its not quite as good as 64 lanes direct to the CPU. Supposed to be better than x8+x8+x8+x8 though.
Thanks Tangoseal,
Your figures are the other way round to mine, FPU as expected but Integer results far too low. Looks like HT has a heavy effect on the integer score.
Thanks for the tip Raghar, SP1 hand not properly taken hold. Multimeda float tests are now looking healthier but still below expectations; 456/422Mpix/sec.
I got some E5-4617s from auction for £150. Hex core @ 2.9 so fair bit faster than 2609 (I don't know if your build situation allows for second hand auction purchase).
