    One thing im confused about is why am I able to run two different types of outputs with no issues but when it comes to the same kind, I need to run a ridiculously expensive dual link connection?

    Figures. I was being hopefully cheap. I forgot to add they are mini DP to X. Regardless they are still passive or single link. They are passive, no power to them. At least I know now. :D Though all im finding for mini DP to HDMI is passive on AMD's website.. more searching I go.

    I currently have VisionTek 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Eyefinity 6 Edition [6xMiniDP] and 6 monitors. I hook up 6 DP to HDMI, only two screens work. I switch it to 2xDP>HDMI 2xDP>D-SUB. Four monitors work. But can't get those last two working without going straight DP. I am using DP>X dongles right...
