Samsung is 2ms GTG and LG is 2ms GTG. LG is 5ms BWB as is Samsung.
In other words both monitors have the exact same response time.
Which 226BW panel? A or S?
I'm not dense I searched a million different sites and forums about the monitor, don't you think I would have calibrated it? And you're right, I didn't compare them side by side I checked the S panel in a friend a few days after I returned my A one but -needless to say- the panels are very...

They both have the same refresh rate, it's just sometimes LG isn't using the G/G measurement.
Hehe I knew it. Yes from what I've seen these problems exist in the S too but trust me they're less visible. A panel just has all the TN problems you can think of x2 and while S like every TN has some these problems too they're much more smoothed out and overall it's a good monitor. A panel is a...
LG226WA: 1:1 pixel mapping with HDMI and component inputs. Only problem is the shortages. I've been waiting for mine for a month now.
226bw is a huge risk because you might get the inferior A or C panels which -according to my experience with the A panel- freaking suck.
We have the A and C panels already so I can't wait until Samsung starts shipping the F (as in "F you") panels which will be plasma panel leftovers from 1999.
Exactly. If they didn't want to hide what panel it is they'd put the panel number on the freaking box. That way the customers would be able to buy the panel of their choice. But no, you have to buy the monitor first and then check if it's the god-awful A panel or the panel you actually want.
Complains are only a few for two reasons: 1) Newegg is almost always selling S panels so I guess the complains are from the few unlucky ones that got the A ones. 2) because most people are ignorant and even when they're buying a bad product they're not smart or experienced enough to realize it...
You obviously haven't owned the A panel. Video quality is horrible with obvious noise, backlight bleeding is acceptable but still not good, colours are bad with obvious banding. I don't know why you people are defending a company that is screwing you the consumers. I guess you can't be angry if...
Jesus christ what a terrible company Samsung is. After the whole A panel fiasco I myself fallen a victim of they continue to screw the consumers with a new alteration of their monitor (C panel). Goverments must protect consumers from these scams and force companies to put different model numbers...
You're out of luck my friend. The LG I want to buy has two out of three but you'll be dissapointed by the backlight bleeding. From the pics I've seen it's as bad as the "A" panel's backlight bleeding.
